2024 Season Highlights
Families and friends have been making memories at Sugar Pines Farm for over forty years now… we invite you to join us this season for continuing long-time family traditions or starting new ones!
Highlights of the Upcoming Tree Season
- We’ve had another great growing year, and we’re excited to share it with you! In our fields you’ll find a beautiful selection of over 2,000 fir and spruce trees, from 5 to 9 feet tall. We provide everything you need – saws, sleds, and twine – and our friendly staff will be happy to bale or net your tree so you can get it home safely. Don’t forget your camera and good footwear!
- If you are looking for a larger tree (over 9 feet tall) we’ll have a nice selection of fresh, pre-cut firs available. Pre-ordering and delivery are available as well – just inquire!
- Check out our expanded selection of wreaths, swags, and other greenery décor items, as well as our limited edition 2024 Sugar Pines Farm ornaments and mugs!
- The jolly guy in the red suit from the North Pole will be back this year on select dates – check the home page for his schedule!
Cut-Your-Own Trees
We invite you to explore our scenic fields, take in the refreshing aromas, and find the perfect tree to cut down for yourself! A spectacular selection of over 2,000 cut-your-own trees awaits you, including Canaan fir, Fraser fir, blue spruce, and Norway spruce from 5 to 9 feet tall (depending on species). The inventory is slightly more than last year, but we still recommend coming out early in the season for a cut-your-own experience (except for Norway spruce, which will not be available to cut until 12/7). Please check our website, voicemail and Facebook page for daily tree inventory updates throughout the season. We kindly request you leave all power saws and pets at home. Thank you for your cooperation!
Fresh, Pre-cut Trees
Don’t want to cut your own tree or can’t find what you want in our fields? No problem, we’ve still got a tree for you! You’ll find a great selection of fresh-cut trees in the tree barn including Fraser fir, Douglas fir, Noble fir, Concolor fir, Scotch pine, and white pine, ranging from 3 to 10+ feet tall (depending on variety). We work closely with other family- owned tree farms to supply these trees to ensure they are cut very close to the time they are shipped to us. We know a fresh tree is a priority for you, and it is for us too!
Live Balled Trees
We will have a great selection of live spruce and fir balled & burlapped (b&b) trees, ready to enjoy at Christmas time and then plant on your property in the spring. If you are considering a b&b tree please plan ahead. We encourage you to check out the page of our website that covers how to care for a live balled tree before deciding for sure if this is right for you.
Fresh Wreaths, Greens, Maple Syrup and More
As always, you’ll find a beautiful selection of wreaths, swags, pine roping and other holiday décor, as well as our own maple syrup and limited edition Sugar Pines ornaments, mugs, hats, and more! We also have everything you need for caring for your tree, including high quality stands, disposal bags, preservative, watering devices and floor mats.
Family Fun & Food on the Farm
We’re all about family fun at Sugar Pines! In addition to finding that perfect Christmas tree we hope you’ll stay for a tractor-drawn hay wagon ride (weekends only), a s’more by our bonfire pit, a picture with Santa (see schedule), and a stop at the Buckeye Chocolates tent for freshly made kettle corn, hot chocolate, funnel cakes and other goodies (weekends and Fridays only). A visit to a tree farm is a great opportunity to just enjoy some time outside together, breathe in the fresh fragrant air, take some pictures, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. We invite you to take it all in! Sorry, we kindly request that you leave pets at home for the safety and comfort of all of our visitors.
Support Operation Evergreen
We believe in giving back. One way we do this each year is to have a special area of little trees that are available by donation only. A “purchase” of one of these trees helps cover the shipping costs to send Christmas trees overseas to our troops who are away from their families this holiday season. All funds collected go towards Operation Evergreen, a service project of the Ohio Christmas Tree Association. You can also support this effort by clicking here.
